Magic 8 ball online: answers from the universe
The Magic 8 Ball is an iconic toy created in the 1950s. The original contains a 20-sided icosahedron floating in dark blue liquid, with positive, negative, and neutral messages. The digital version replicates that experience with random answers for yes-or-no questions.
How does it work?
Ask your question out loud or in your mind, shake (or click) and wait for the answer. The generator randomly selects from the 20 classic responses. Although the answer is completely random, many people use it as a starting point for reflecting on their own intuitions.
The 20 original responses
The original responses fall into three categories: positive ("It is certain", "Without a doubt", "Definitely yes"), negative ("Don't count on it", "My sources say no", "Very doubtful"), and neutral ("Ask again later", "Cannot predict now").
